The CEGSS has two main international partners: The Center for Global Health Research at the University of Umeå, Sweden and the International Development Research Center (IDRC) of Canada. The Umeå Center for Global Health Research is an institution based in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, University of Umeå, Sweden. Its mission is to work in the area of global health and to facilitate north-south cooperation. In Guatemala, the Center collaborates with the CEGSS in the investigation of citizen participation in the health system and the analysis and evaluation of health as a human right.
